Tigers News · HEIGHTS TRACK – Tigers start season with big team effort at Avon Lake

The Cleveland Heights track teams started the spring with a lot of momentum and excitement with a solid performance at Avon Lake on April 3.

The boys 4×4 relay won the title and Jojo Morman and McKenzie McKnitt had big days on the girls side.

Coach Scott McNulty was very happy following the first outdoor event of the year.

“To run the way we did and get the first meet out of the way I’m very pleased with how we did,” McNulty said. “There is momentum from indoor track and the ball gets rolling in the right direction.”

Morman won the 300 hurdles and McKnitt was 3rd in the 400.

The girls 4×200 relay was 2nd –
Cle. Heights 1:49.69 2 8 1) Jordan Morman 2) Asia Fair 3) McKenzie McNitt 4) Jordyn Brand

The Tigers boys were 2nd in same race on the boys side…. 1) Keonshae Boyd Bey 2) Jamal Russ 3) Elijah Fowlkes 4) Jeremiah Dillard

The boys won the 4×400 relay in 3:29.92 3 10 1) Keonshae Boyd Bey 2) Marius Coleman 3) Sule Lunda 4) Jamal Russ

Boyd Bey was 3rd and Lunda 4th in the open 400 on the boys side.

The girls relay was 3rd in the 4×400
1) Jordyn Brand 2) Asia Fair 3) Elle Mueller 4) McKenzie McNitt

In the 4×200 relay the Boys finished 2nd – 1)  Keonshae Boyd Bey 2) Jamal Russ 3) Elijah Fowlkes 4) Jeremiah Dillard

Coleman finished 3rd in the 800.

Dillard was 6th in the 200. Braeden Gallagher was 5th in the 1600 and 6th in the 3200.

Fair ran well on both the 4×2 and 4×4 relays.
