Cleveland Heights lost a heartbreaker at home to LEL rival Lorain, 48-47, on Jan. 12.
The Tigers (3-5, 1-2 LEL) jumped out to a 7-2 lead, but Lorain (3-0, 3-0) used 3-point shooting from Jamir Billings, West Virginia commit Seth Wilson and De’Vante Jackson to close the first quarter on a 10-point run.
Heights erased an early deficit to lead by 1 heading into the fourth quarter.
E.J. Farmer scored 12 to lead the Tigers.
Wilson led the Titans with a game-high 20 points. Billings added nine points and six rebounds, while Jackson had seven points.
The Tigers committed 15 turnovers to Lorain’s four.
Keyshawn Hall added 11 points and 11 rebounds against Lorain. Davon Smith-Johnson chipped in 10 for Heights.
The Tigers will try to rebound on Jan. 16 against Warrensville Heights.
