Tigers News · Heights High Welcomes New Head Volleyball Coach

June 4, 2020 — The CH-UH City School District has hired Jasmine Harper (’12) as the Girls Varsity Volleyball Head Coach.
Harper has coached both volleyball and basketball at the middle and high school levels in CH-UH for the last four years.

“Having worked with a number of current players, Jasmine has established credibility and earned the respect of the players she will inherit,” said CH-UH Athletic Director Joe D’Amato. “I look forward to watching the program grow under Jasmine.”

Harper graduated from Heights High School in 2012 and from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in 2016, where she attended on a full athletic scholarship. She currently works as a certified Emergency Medical Technician and is studying to become a doctor. Harper says her time as the middle school volleyball coach has prepared her for the role of head coach at Heights High.

“I’m excited to continue to give back but also to start working with these young ladies as the head varsity volleyball coach. My familiarity with them will allow us to hit the ground running, and we intend to do that!” said Harper.

As of June 4, 2020, the Heights High Athletic Department is hiring for the positions of Head JV Volleyball & Head Freshman Volleyball Coach. Candidates are preferred to have previous interscholastic coaching experience. Candidates are expected to have strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills. Any interested candidate should forward a resume to Athletic Director Joe D’Amato at j_damato@chuh.org.
