Cleveland Heights is back in the postseason for the first time since 2015, and the Tigers start on the road against the No. 1 team in the state.
According to brackets posted on the official OHSAA website on Nov. 3, Cleveland Heights will travel to Mentor to face the unbeaten, top-ranked Cardinals on Nov. 8 in a Division I, Region 1 quarterfinal at the JTO.
The Tigers earned the 8th and final seed in the competitive region by finishing with nine straight wins and an LEL championship. Mentor earned the top seed in Region 1 by going 10-0 and winning the GCC title.
The Cleveland Heights-Mentor winner advances to a regional semi vs. the winner of Canton McKinley-Solon at a site to be determined on Nov. 15.
