Tigers News · HEIGHTS BASEBALL – Tigers open postseason at University School

Cleveland Heights will start the postseason with a sectional semifinal game at University School on May 14.

The Tigers are the No. 9 seed in the Division I Euclid District. The Preppers are No. 8.

The Heights-US winner advances to a sectional final at top seed Mentor on May 16.

The bracket unveiling on Sunday was part of a big weekend for the Tigers. Saturday was highlighted by a celebration of the 1947 state championship baseball team.

“A huge thank you to Krissy Gallagher, Bruce Tyler, Dan Heintz, Melissa Rink, Joe D’Amato and many others who helped stage a memorable and meaningful tribute to the 1947 baseball State Champion Heights Tigers,” Heights coach Ed Mugridge said. “Outside it was foggy and wet and all 6 scheduled games got rained out, but inside we all got to appreciate the importance celebrating the past, valuing the present, and shaping the future of Heights baseball.”
