Cleveland Heights rallied from a big first-quarter deficit to take a fourth-quarter lead, but eventually fell to Brush, 68-67, in an electrifying Division I district semifinal at Euclid.
The Arcs jumped out to a 25-12 lead at the end of one quarter, but the Tigers roared back to take a one-point lead late in the fourth at 58-57.
Brush answered with two baskets by John Hughley (25 points) and went on to hold off Heights down the stretch.
Tigers guard Nigel Martin led all scorers with 32 points. Louisville recruit Jae’Lyn Withers scored 13 points before fouling out with more than 7 minutes left in the game.
Robert Morgan added 10 for Heights.
